Indian Falls United Methodist Church
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.
Indian Falls United Methodist Church celebrates a traditional worship service including: hymns, scripture readings from the Old and New Testaments of the Bible by members of the congregation, a choir anthem, pastorís sermon, sharing of joys and prayer concerns, pastoral prayer, and childrenís time. Nursery care is provided during the worship service for infants and children through age 4.
Holy Communion is celebrated the first and third Sunday of each month. Methodists believe in an open communion table. It is the Lordís Supper and it is Christ who invites you. Christ invites to His table all who love Him, who earnestly repent of their sin and seek to live in peace with one another.
The Christian year contains two cycles:
Christmas Cycle (Advent-Christmas-Epiphany) where the church is decorated with the hanging of the greens and poinsettias and a candle lighting Christmas Eve service is held with singing and readings.
Easter Cycle (Lent-Easter-Pentecost) a variety of Easter flowers fill the sanctuary while a wonderful service of music and celebration for the message of Jesusí resurrection.
